The Sakura House Monthly Donor Family is a passionate and determined group of monthly givers on a mission to help our community die with compassion, dignity, and respect. People like you, giving anything they can, to give our patients and families the chance to have special moments at the end of life.

It’s about impact, goodness, and making every day count.

These aren’t passive monthly donations. We want our Sakura House Monthly Donor Family to feel connected, invested, and part of the family. You belong here. This incredible family is composed of generous, passionate and caring people- like you. They are changing the way our family and friends are receiving hospice care. And you’re going to fit right in.

Meet Linda

This is Linda with her husband Paul. They have lived in Woodstock for 45 years. Linda’s hometown is Tillsonburg. She is a retired registered practical nurse and has been a volunteer greeter at Sakura since 2016. ⁠

“I recently became a monthly VON Sakura House donor as a way to support their daily needs, which allows their team to provide the incredible hospice care the facility is known for. After a brief visit with my Aunt in 2016, I became a volunteer because I was deeply moved by the support my family received. Because of my volunteer role at Sakura House, I understand the need for hospice care in our community, and the impact it makes for patients and families. The Sakura House team has a wonderful vision and I admire the integrity and support each family is shown, every minute of their stay. I am honoured to express my support with a monthly donation. Meet Hannah

Hannah is a Personal Support Worker at Sakura House, who wanted to share why she loves her job and why it is so important in our community.

You can help us provide essential services at no cost to our patients and their families by joining our monthly donor family today! A monthly gift of:

  • $12 keeps patients connected to family and friends by covering the cable/internet/phone for a day
  • $27 keeps the gardens beautiful and serene for patient and family walks for half a day
  • $45 provides nutritious meals and snacks for a day

Ways to Join

Online:

  1. Visit our Donation page (here)
  2. Select the amount that you would like to donate
  3. Be sure to select the “Make this a Monthly Donation” box
  4. Specify if you would like this gift to be made in memory or in tribute of someone
  5. Enter your credit card details
  6. Press the “Donate Now” button

Automatic Withdrawal:

  1. Download our monthly donation form (Monthly Donor Form) and print or digitally fill.
  2. Mail the completed form and a void cheque to VON Oxford, 550 Ingersoll Ave, Woodstock, ON N4S 4Y3
  3. OR, email the completed document and a copy of a void cheque to oxfordgiving@von.ca.
