Lights of Love

On December 10th, 2020 we lit up Sakura House for the first time in our 11 year history.
We celebrated the memory of those who have died and honoured those close to our hearts. Our virtual event had musical performances, a memorial ceremony and then we turned on the holiday lights at Sakura House for the first time ever.

We are so grateful to our community who helped us to raise $102,674 for Sakura House. Thank you for your generous donations!

All donations to this event will go towards the Sakura House Recovery Fund. The Sakura House Recovery Fund will help cover the increased costs due to the pandemic, such as extra nursing care, extra cleaning, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gowns, masks and gloves and other highest needs. It will also help us recover from the loss in memorial donations we are experiencing due to changes in funerals and from the cancellation of our Handbags for Hospice fundraiser.

We can’t thank you enough for your support during these challenging times! The holidays lights will stay up until the end of January. Please feel free to drive by safely before then to see how magical they are. Happy holidays!
