Hike for Hospice

Join us at Roth Park in Woodstock for the 20th annual Hike for Hospice on Saturday, September 17th!

Our Hike for Hospice has been a community supported event in Oxford County for 20 years! We are happy to announce that this year, for the first time since the pandemic, we are planning for a live event at Roth Park! For those who would prefer, there is also the option to participate virtually, or at your location of choice. All funds raised will go directly to Sakura House! We need your support, enthusiasm and energy to reach our goal of $100,000 to ensure that our patients and families receive the very best hospice care possible!

This year, we will once again be offering a free BBQ lunch following the Hike. For the top fundraisers, we have some amazing prizes AND Mrs. Sarah Face Painting will be on site!! We can’t wait for you to join us! See you on Saturday, September 17!

**Please note that the live Hike event is subject to change based on most current public health recommendations.

Memorial Tree

Hike for Hospice is not only an event to raise essential funds for Sakura House, but a way to celebrate the lives of our loved ones who have died. During the Hike, we will hang the memorial tree banner and participants can place a flower with their loved one’s name, message, and/or picture. If you are unable to attend the event, but still want to add a name to the tree, please email oxfordgiving@von.ca with the subject line “Memorial Tree.” Include in the email the name of your loved one, a message, and/or a picture to and we would be happy to place it on the Memorial Tree for you.

Colour a Butterfly

Print out these Memorial Butterfly Colouring Pages. Colour them however you like and either bring them the the event or, if you cannot attend the Hike, email a picture of it to oxfordgiving@von.ca and we will place it on the Memorial Tree for you.

This event is made possible in large part because of our dedicated community of sponsors. To find out more about sponsorship opportunities and advantages for the Hike for Hospice, contact Michelle at michelle.dykstra@von.ca.
