JOURNEY THROUGH GRIEF – CLOSED PSYCHO-EDUCATIONAL GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP
This is a closed, eight-week group. Registration takes place prior to group starting. Four groups are run in Oxford County, throughout the year. Our coordinator(s) will meet individually with participants, either in person or virtually to assess needs. This group provides mourners with a foundation for their grief journey. Group is held at the VON Main office by trained staff and volunteers.
Kids’ Circle
A closed 8-week program providing supportive care for grieving children who are 5-12 years old who have experienced the death of a loved one. Kids’ Circle runs in tandem with Parents’ Circle – a coordinated and complimentary program supporting the parents or caregivers of the child attending Kids’ Circle.
Teens’ Circle
A closed 6-week program providing supportive care for teens who are between 13-16 years old who have experienced the death of a loved one.
Individual Bereavement Support
Grief is as unique as the person experiencing it. One-on-one grief support sessions are assessed and scheduled on an individual basis and are directed according to the needs of the bereaved. This support is offered with the help of specially trained volunteers. To arrange an assessment for service, please contact one of our coordinators listed below.
